A drop in temperature that will bring with it the possibility of snow, rain and sleet has been forecast from Thursday for Norfolk.

Weatherquest forecaster Richard Jones said Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning would remain relatively mild before a drop in temperature on Thursday afternoon and into the weekend brought with it the possibility of snow falls.

'Thursday will start off mild with a high of 10 degrees forecast for the morning but that will drop off significantly in the afternoon as a northwesterly wind picks up.

'There's a risk of snow and wintery showers, particularly along the North Norfolk coast.'

He said highs for Friday were expected to be between 3 and 5 degrees while Saturday and Sunday would be the coldest days of the week.

'We expect temperatures to reach highs of around 2 to 4 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

'There's chances of frost across inland areas on Saturday morning when lows of -2 are expected and again on Saturday night into Sunday morning when a low of -3 is forecast.'
