It was a scene of mixed emotions as students in Wymondham and Hethersett received their GCSE results today.

“Our grades are pending appeal. We were expecting a slight drop but we are concerned about some of the subject results.
“But there are some excellent individual results which we must not overlook – many of the students will be very proud and pleased with their results.” – headteacher Kerry Jordan.

“Our results are slightly up but not by as much as we had hoped. We are very disappointed about what the government has done with the English results.
