Nine cyclists braved the downpours for the second organised mass commute between Wymondham and Norwich.
The terrible summer weather took its toll on the Wymondham Approach on Friday. But the turnout has not deterred organisers planning a third event later this year.
The first cycle to work event in September attracted 32 cyclists. However, the steady rain hit the second Wymondham Approach on Friday.
Organiser Matt Wood said: “We were getting a really good level of interest on the website in the run up to the event. So it was really disappointing that the weather on the day was so bad. Under the circumstances we were really pleased with the turnout. Everyone enjoyed the run into Norwich, despite the rain – and everyone agreed we should do it again.”
The organisers are hoping for better weather in the autumn for the third Wymondham Approach, which will take place on Friday, September 14.
Howards Cycles in Back Lane, Wymondham, will be offering a free bicycle “health‐check” to anyone thinking about taking part in the mass‐commute.

Guess the car is still king for the fair weather cyclist.
