Marie Curie has celebrated raising more than £39,000 in Norfolk at a Thank You evening at the Maids Head Hotel in Norwich.
Volunteers across the county have raised the impressive figure which is the largest amount ever raised by Norfolk.
The celebrations included talks from researchers Carole Gardener who is working to cure terminal illnesses at the UEA Research park which has received a total of £165,000 of funding from Marie Curie.
Also speaking was dementia nurse Hazel Tempertom, who has been funded by Marie Curie's 2015 Norfolk's Own Cookbook.
Community fundraiser, Hugo Steveson said: 'It is important to drive care for terminal illness. With the aging population in Norfolk it is important to cover all areas of end of life care.
The money raised can pay for 1,975 hours of care and will help continue to fund research further projects in the UK.
