Man charged with thefts from boats across Norfolk

Police investigating a series of thefts from boats moored at locations across Norfolk have charged a 52-year-old man with nine offences.

The charges relate to incidents in Langley and Hardley, near Loddon, Belaugh near Wroxham, and St Olaves near Great Yarmouth between October and December last year.

Richard Hargreaves, of The Street, Belaugh, has been charged with four counts of theft, four counts of handling stolen goods and is also accused of committing fraud by false representation.

Hargreaves has been released on conditional bail to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court next Monday, March 25.
