Justin Campling, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of robbery and possession of heroin, a class A drug.

The robbery charges relate to two thefts of handbags from women. The first was in Braithwaite Close in Bowthorpe on Tuesday and the other, also in Bowthorpe, in Boatman Way, yesterday.

Campling was arrested yesterday morning following reports of the Boatman Way robbery, when a woman in her 50s was pushed to the floor and had her bag snatched.

He has been kept in custody at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
