Lowestoft lifeboat has been launched this afternoon (Wednesday) following reports of a “medical” incident aboard a dive boat.
The Spirit of Lowestoft lifeboat was called out to assist with a medical evacuation of a diver off a vessel, which is understood to be off the south east of Lowestoft.
This afternoon’s call-out comes after a diver died last Friday afternoon during a diving trip off the Norfolk coast.
The Great Yarmouth and Gorleston lifeboat was called to the Hearty Knoll, about 17-miles north-east of Great Yarmouth, after Christopher Vanstone, 49, from Brixton in south London, died from drowning.
He was in a group of seven aboard the Raider V diving boat, which had set off from Lowestoft, when he became unwell and had to make an emergency ascent.
