Kessingland gets in Jubilee party mood

A north Suffolk village was full of jubilee cheer as hundreds of people joined in a whole host of fun activities.
Kessingland Jubilee Fete. Cantors dance entertain.Today Kessingland, near Lowestoft and said to be Suffolk’s largest village, was awash with red, white and blue as people gathered on the Francis Road playing field for a jubilee fete.
The fete included many traditional activities with children enjoying donkey and mini-train rides while adults competed against each other in a keenly contest tug of war contest.
Families could also compete in egg and spoon, three legged and sack races.
Today’s large crowds were also entertained by young singers and dancers from the Kenny Cantor Theatre School.
The event was funded by a £4,400 grant from the National Lottery’s Award for all the scheme and the day was declared a great success by organiser Moll Robb.
