Detectives have launched an investigation into the unexplained death of a man in Norwich.

Officers were called to a block of flats in Chantry Road shortly before 1am on Wednesday, July 23, following reports a man had been found with serious injuries at the bottom of a flight of stairs.

Paramedics attended but the man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and the area has been sealed off while police carry out initial enquiries.
