A man whose death is the subject of a major murder investigation by police has had his inquest opened and adjourned.
Malcolm Pratt, 51, was pronounced dead at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge on July 26 this year.
An inquest opened into Mr Pratt’s death in Norwich yesterday heard police were called to his home address in Exeter Road, Gorleston, near Great Yarmouth on July 15 after he had been found unconscious. He was taken to the James Paget University Hospital before being transferred to Addenbrooke’s .
A post mortem examination has been carried out but a full report has not yet been provided and cause of death not yet fully determined.
Norfolk Coroner William Armstrong said Mr Pratt’s death was “the subject of an ongoing police inquiry” and adjourned the inquest.
