An inquest has been opened after the body of a man was found at his home in Attleborough.

Ryan McGlynn, 29, was found dead at his home in Kingfisher Road on Monday following a welfare check.

At the opening of the Norwich inquest into his death of the North Lanarkshire-born labourer, Norfolk’s senior coroner Jacqueline Lake said the cause of death had been hanging,

She adjourned the inquest until April next year.

• The coroner also opened an inquest into the death of 96-year-old Raymond Payne at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on Thursday last week.

Mrs Lake said Mr Payne, of Staden Road, Trimmingham, had been admitted to hospital following a fall.

She said the cause of death had been given as pneumonia, following rib fractures due to a fall, with hypertension another factor in his death.

That inquest was also adjourned until April.
