More than 450 riders took part in the cycling activities at Strumpshaw Hall today, which was organised by Pedal Revolution, the RSPB and Broadland District Council.

Cyclists had the choice of four different rides - a 4km family ride, two road challenge rides of 40km or 112km and a 3km off-road mountain bike circuit.

Children also took part in a range of activities during the Strumpy Splash and Dash Sportive event.

Neil Turner, organiser, said it was the first time they had organised a cycling event in Strumpshaw.

“It has been pretty breezy, which has made the last ten miles a bit of a killer. It has been a fantastic event and there has been a nice atmosphere,” he said.

Pedal Revolution’s next event is the East Coast Classic Sportive in Great Yarmouth on May 26.
