Saturday’s victory by Norwich City against Manchester United was an incredibly proud moment for the club’s fans and a highlight of the season so far.

But how does it compare with the Canaries’ previous achievements?

Does it outrank the 1959 FA cup run, which saw the then third division club reach the semi finals having beaten Manchester United along the way?

How about the famous victory against Bayern Munich in 1993, which remains the only time a British club beat the German giants at their Olympic stadium before they moved to the Allianz Arena?

Or do you prefer the pride of the 5-1 thrashing of Ipswich Town at Portman Road in 2011?

  • I have been at the Bayern game in 93 and compared it to last night, similarities can be draw, although on balance of the chances Norwich had yesterday I have voted, for once, for the ManU 0-1 NCFC game. Norwich is sharp and fast coming forward, good at breaking from behind. Their defence with Turner and Bassong is great, this what was lacking last season, Norwich is a team to be reckoned with, not just at home. You could feel gallons of adrenaline being sloshing through fans and players venes alike coming through the transmission, what an electric game. Norwich is making near goal chances at the front, they will hit the spot. Nothing to get rival about Jason, we were just better yesterday and gave you a good seeing to, boar....;)

  • Sorry, but this article is a joke to be honest. Yes, it is a great win against the odds, and one that will live long in the memories, but it was also a fully deserved league win, and it should be reported as such. Not as if it is the pinnacle of our supporting lives! We're making it out to be some kind of non lge team pperforming a giant killing act! No more Small Time Norwich, please...

  • Matt, Mr. Pickover has come to Norwich, from Ipswich, they lost last night 6-0 and are in need of a serious positive talking to from a shrink, so what better than supping some positive thoughts here?

  • I was at the game and really enjoyed the performance and the win. However its by no means the first time that we have beaten them, home and away and in league and cup competitions. Agree that Archant are treating us as small time, what with the silly souveneir editions and cringing town crier articles. Almost as bad as those half and half scarves some people buy whenever a "big" team comes to town.

  • hahahaha looks like a bunch of ManU supporters are whining in their comments...looks like Big Bucks doesn't always guarantee you wins! I have an appointment the first week of December to get my NC tatoo...."Lets go you Yellows, let's be 'aving you!!"

  • An interesting comment heard in Delia's prior to the game may interest a few Man U fans.. A certain R Hodgson was heard to say something along the lines of "Norwich have a chance, without Rooney, they struggle..."

  • Abraham good point on the scarves, I take it the United fans were not waving their yellow and green anti-Glazier scarves on Saturday!

  • Please. Articles like this are the very essence of small-time provincial media. No, Mr Pickover, Saturday's result, although deeply satisfying and highly enjoyable, isn't even close to being one of NCFC's "greatest moments". Souvenir editions of the paper before andor after games like this make the club look extremely small-time. Stop it EEN. Stop it Mr Pickover. This sort of thing might have been acceptable at the other end of the A140, but not here.

  • What is that all about, Mr. Geroge?? Do you have a problem? I would never describe MUFC as `team haha` nor as a `joke of a club`. Gratuitously disrespectful. Or is it the punctuation and syntax that distorts your otherwise masterly insight? TB, that win interval looks a bit different when you take into account how little we`ve been in the same Div as MUFC. Like Leeds & 1p5wich, we`ve had our times in the lower leagues. It`s only hack journos dreaming up a fallacious headline. How did Leeds do against Millwall yesterday?

  • I worked at Wilson`s Brewery in Newton Heath, Manchester. 40 years ago. The birthplace of the Gold & Green of the later to be named MUFC. I used to play on my Naarfolk yokel credentials by asking the older guys why they were wearing Naaridge colours. There has to be an element of Karma?

  • What an utterly ridiculous article. NCFC have beaten Man Utd plenty of times before both home and away. It's hardly a giantkilling when you beat a team from the same division. We are not Yeovil. EEN, stop making our club look small time. You're more patronising than the nationals. Embarrassing front page.
