A new connection from Airport Park and Ride on Aylsham Road in Hellesdon will provide people with a direct service between the airport and Norwich city centre.

A new bus shelter has been installed at the airport and the roads have been improved to prepare for the route as part of a £2.6m Better Bus Area project.

It is hoped the Government-funded project will make bus travel faster for passengers, visitors and commuters in Norwich and boost the city’s economy.

Toby Coke, Chairman of the Environment, Development and Transport Committee at Norfolk County Council, said: “This has been a long awaited development and will be a welcome addition to Norwich International Airport.

“It will make journeys for people a lot easier and provide a much needed direct service to the airport.

“The airport is an incredibly valuable asset to the county and the extension to this service will be a great benefit to businesses and the local economy.”

  • Why couldn't they have done this in the first place? To simple I suppose. Still, should keep the management happy as the adf will increase! Won't change my opinions though.
