Music retailer HMV is to shut one of its two stores in Norwich.

The chain is closing its Gentleman’s Walk premises, but will continue to trade in the Chapelfield store.

The last day of trading at Gentleman’s Walk is on Thursday, July 10.

A spokeswoman for the company said: “We intend to redeploy all of the Norwich Gentleman’s Walk team to alternative HMV stores.”

  • Ah well - sad to see and I'll miss it. I used to buy loads of music from them when they were online before the revamp - unfortunately since then the online service disappeared so I went elsewhere. I just hope they can manage to keep hold of the other store, however I somehow think they've got their work cut out. Good luck to them, I'll continue to shop there and I hope it all works out.
