Members of the public will have the opportunity to find out more about the work of the region’s ambulance service next week when the East of England Ambulance Service stages its annual general meeting.

Chief Executive Anthony Marsh will set out the improvements and future challenges of the trust during the event on July 30 at Trinity Park, Ipswich.

The under-performing service is still not hitting key response targets, but has hired more than 300 new student paramedics since the turn of the year and put more ambulances on the region’s roads.

Before the annual meeting at 2pm, visitors will be able to see a small exhibition of stalls about the service’s teams, including patient and public involvement, training and education, resilience, and communications.

The normal bi-monthly public meeting of the trust board will also take place at 11am.
