Great Yarmouth teen arrested on suspicion of robbery

A 13 year old boy has been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an incident in Great Yarmouth in which another teenager had cash stolen from him.

The victim, 17, was walking on Churchill Road when he was approached by two youths on BMX bikes.

He was grabbed by the throat by one while the other stole £50 cash from his bag before both cycled away.

The 13 year old from Great Yarmouth was arrested yesterday morning (Tuesday) and taken into custody where he was interviewed by officers.

He has been bailed to return to police on January 5, pending further enquiries.

Police are renewing their appeal for anyone with information about the robbery, which happened at around 10.30pm on Friday, September 14, to contact them.
