No snow here! Cars in Howard Street South car park in the town are completely snow free, as are the roads

GREAT Yarmouth escaped yesterday’s heavy snow as residents woke this morning to clear skies, sunshine and pavements and roads free of the white stuff.
A light sprinkling of snow peppered homes and fields in Acle and Cantley but towns and villages closer to the coast, including Ormesby, Potter Heigham and Caister, missed out.
The Acle straight showed no signs of snowfall and commuters heading eastbound into Great Yarmouth were surrounded by green fields and schools in the area are open as usual.
Some residents have expressed disappointment that the east of the county has missed out and took to Twitter to lament the lack of snow.
@bellacupcakesuk said: “Completely missed us here in Yarmouth. Not a flake.”
@RichyBoii added: “As expected, woke up, went outside, no snow. Nothin, not even a frost. Welcome to Great Yarmouth. A place where weather doesn’t wanna visit.”
And on Facebook Eevil Weeja said: “Plenty of rain...No snow :( “
But the resort and its surrounds is expected to be hit with light snow and mist this evening, from around 7pm.

SNOW finally arrives in GY. An official press release stated "Appologies for the delayed arrival, but SNOW been busy of late creating havoc with the contries more advanced infrastructure and had viewed GY as a very low priority for obvious reasons, and who is this LEWIS guy anyway? Maybe we could do lunch and discuss our mutual interest in avoiding the GY area"

SNOW was last seen taking tea with a certain Mrs Lewis, who also avoids Great Yarmouth...

SNOW avoids Great Yarmouth. In a statement released earlier today SNOW declined to give a firm reason for not coming to GY, describing the situation as pointless. Its widely believed that the already poor infrastructure and lack of jobs in GY contributed to SNOWS decision to avoid the borough.

WOW! BIG NEWS - we did not get snow! The coverage in the local media (particularly BBC LOOK EAST) is pathetic. In these times of austerity are people really being paid real money to churn out these stories. We live in northern Europe and it's January - should we not expect a bit of cold weather! And then the BBC - that tool of the nanny-state is telling us "take care on icy roads'.
