Gorleston man charged with drink driving after A12 collision

A Gorleston man has been charged with drink driving following a collision on the A12 near the Harfreys roundabout.

Taurius Lekavicius, 24, of Beccles Road, is accused of drink driving and driving without third party insurance.

He has been released on bail to appear before Great Yarmouth magistrates on Wednesday, February 20 at 1.30pm.

A spokesman for Norfolk police said: “Police were called to a road traffic collision on Wednesday, February 6 at about 9.20am in Great Yarmouth on the A12 near to the Harfreys roundabout.

“It involved a motorcycle, a Vauxhall Astra and a VW Golf.

“The motorcyclist was taken to the James Paget hospital for treatment.”
