We are now in the closing stages of this year’s Movember men’s health campaign and fundraising figures around Norwich are growing by the day.
Moustaches of all kinds are being sported to raise awareness and funds for research into men’s health issues such as prostate and testicular cancer.
So far in the UK over £9.8m has been raised for Movember this month, out of a huge global total of over £40.9m.
A 20-strong team of staff at the Royal Mail offices in Norwich, in Thorpe Road, has been busy growing their facial fur. Their team, Royal Mail Postman Tache Norwich, has already raised over £400. Support it at http://uk.movember.com/nb/team/426153
The East Anglian Paint Posse raised over £50 and had plenty of Movember fun at the Forum by using their face painting expertise to create a variety of fake moustaches for men, women and children. Overall the group has raised over £175. Support it and find out about more events at http://uk.movember.com/team/887297
Staff at Norwich cathedral’s refectory have been putting smiles on customers faces with their efforts and have so far raised just over £200. You can support their efforts at http://uk.movember.com/team/555349
Next Monday we will have a full Movember round-up, so make sure to send us photos of your “mo” to www.iwitness24.co.uk, where you can also leave details of why you are taking part and how people can sponsor you.
There is also an iwitness24 app available to download on to your smartphone, which is available in the Apple and Android online stores, to make sharing your photos even easier.
