It’s finally here – and we want to know what you are doing this Red Nose Day.
The yarnbombed tree by the City Hall clock tower covered in pom poms for Comic Relief Red Nose Day. Picture: Denise BradleyFundraising activity started early this morning, when cyclist Stuart Pinnock set off on a 17-hour sponsored ride outside the shop where works.
The 35-year-old’s dawn to dusk challenge followed the opening hours of the One Stop Shop on Constitution Hill, beginning at 6am and continuing until 11pm.
Staff at Sainsbury’s at Longwater have been showing their usual support for Red Nose Day, hosting a bucking bronco for customers, a Malteser chopstick challenge and encouraging staff to dress up, with one of the managers leading the way in a furry red costume.
Store manager Mike Green said: “It’s something we always look forward to because the company supports it, and that gives us licence to have a bit of fun with it too. The bucking bronco this is year is a bit out of the box for us.”
In Norwich, yarnbombers targeted trees around City Hall and adorned them with some furry red fruit overnight.
A cryptic note attached to one tree suggested a group known as the Pom Pom Bombers were responsible, and included the message: “We’ve thought about Comic Relief – have you?”
At Norwich Fashion Week, models surprised guests at the Vanilla catwalk show by donning red noses for their finale.
From sponsored stand-up to marathon football matches, head-shaving to bake sales, you have already shown your determination and creativity to raise money for those less fortunate.

That's my image you have used at the top of this thread, that's twice in two weeks you have infringed my copyright. I'm quite flattered but I do need to put bread on the table so please tell me who I should send my invoice to?

My earlier comments were tongue in cheek, however the standard of comedy for us oldies really is below that with which we were used to on the BBC. I can remember when it was the audience that most of the laughing , not the performers. From past experience I no longer watch the programme, but at the same time I`m glad that many folk do, and raise the large ammount of money for what I`m led to believe is a worthy cause to help those lessfortunate in life . To all the detractors, shame on you.

Watch a bunch of overpaid, self-deluded "celebrities" feeding their own egos and being completely unfunny? No thanks! We used to deride the Americans for the type pf childish humour this bunch churns out nowadays.

This is just boring rubbish and as stated by others, should have been dumped years ago. I will be keeping my money firmly in my pocket so it isn't wasted overseas, charity begins at home.

I'll be hiding. The only Relief involved is that experienced when this unfunny event and chance for fading stars to further their careers is over. Did I mention Miranda Hart? Reason enough to avoid.

Why are they still doing this? Comic Relief? It stopped being funny by about 10pm on the very first one. Children In Need too ... I get the sentiment but stop dressing it up as some sort of worthwhile TV spectacle .... its inane dross that is indicative of the standard of output we get from the BBC nowadays. I for one will not be watching a single nano-second of it.
