Carlo Nash, 40, who was released by the club, where he was third choice goalkeeper, following their relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season, was clocked in his Mercedes Benz in a 70mph zone on February 2.

Nash, from Leftbank, Manchester, was listed to appear for sentencing at Norwich magistrates’ court today, after the bench had previously found the case proved in his absence, but the case has now been transferred to nearer his home.

Nash has also pleaded guilty to speeding on the A11 at Quidenham, where he was clocked in a 70mph zone doing 88mph, on January 17.
