Former Norwich City defender Seb Bassong has swapped the Carrow Road turf for the decks of a rooftop bar in London.

The 30-year-old central defender is one of the headline DJs for the Cactus on the Roof party at Angler Terrace in the Moorgate area of the capital this month.

The event is described as 'think Africa meets Ibiza' and tickets for the musical affair cost £30.

MORE: Seb Bassong pens farewell letter to Norwich City fansBassong was one of seven senior players who did not have their contracts renewed at the end of the season. Last month he penned a farewell letter to the club and fans in which he wrote he 'gave everything for our club' and 'I came from Spurs to reboost my professional career and what I've found in the end is a real family over here.'

Since leaving Norwich he was heavily linked with a move to Turkish club Bursaspor but he remains a free agent.

The former Newcastle and Tottenham defender was City's player-of-the-year, after an impressive debut season in 2012, but following the club's relegation from the Premier League was farmed out to Watford on-loan during Neil Adams' tenure.

Alex Neil offered Bassong a second chance and the Cameroon international was a key part of the squad that won Championship promotion at Wembley in 2015 before again falling out of favour. The defender made only 13 appearances in the past season, his last senior outing coming in March at Bristol City.
