It didn't take an eagle-eyed observer to spy out the bright red vintage bus in Norwich city centre this lunchtime.

The First Eastern Counties LFL bus, which operated in the 1960s, attracted the attention of shoppers visiting The Forum, including some former employees.

The bus belongs to the East Anglian Transport Museum, and was overseen by museum volunteers who welcomed passers-by into the vehicle.

Barry Alden, from Norwich, said: 'I left Eastern Counties in 1973. My father-in-law was a conductor, I went to driving school and here we are.

'Today I came up the walk, looked up and said, how about that it's the older double decker!'

The event part of a publicity drive for the new First Eastern Counties network guide which has been launched to help people use public transport with ease this summer holiday.

They are also recruiting new staff members.
