A new bus network guide has been launched to help people use public transport with ease this summer holiday.

First Eastern Counties has produced a colourful guide to its routes, which include coastal and rural areas.

As well as outlining ticket deals, the guide also highlights many places of interest to visit by bus for family fun days out or country walks and historic buildings, parks and gardens.

To celebrate the launch of the new map and guide, First Eastern Counties will be hosting an event outside The Forum in Norwich between 10am and 2.30pm today, to give away the new guides and help potential users to understand how to use buses in the area for days out during the upcoming summer holidays.

The guides will also be widely distributed across the area at libraries, tourist centres, attractions and can be obtained from Norwich Bus Station or the First Travel Shop on Castle Meadow.

Timetables for all services and an online journey planner are available on the company website or the free First Bus App.

David Jordan, Marketing Manager at First Eastern Counties said: 'We want to make bus travel as easy as possible for people who want to give the bus a try and our new guide is certainly getting the thumbs up from the many people who have already got a copy.

'I am looking forward to seeing lots of people down at The Forum on Friday when we can highlight all the many places of interest people can travel to, especially families, with the summer holidays shortly upon us.'
