Around £6,000 worth of fireworks have been stolen from a container in Thorpe St Andrew.
An oxy acetylene torch was used to remove the plate over the padlock on the container and then the padlock.
The container was based in the grounds of The Griffin pub, in Yarmouth Road, but the fireworks were privately owned and not for use with a display being planned by the owners of the pub.
The fireworks were stolen between 1.30am and 8am last Sunday.
Anyone with information about the theft can call the Thorpe St Andrew safer neighbourhood team on the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
