Four fire crews attended a blaze at a Great Yarmouth home this morning.

Crews from Great Yarmouth and Gorleston were called after a fire was reported in the basement of a property in Northgate Street shortly after 7.30am.

A Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the crews used breathing apparatus and hoses to put out the blaze.

A thermal image camera was also used. The fire was under control shortly after 8am.

The extent of the damage is not yet known.

The ambulance service attended the scene but no one was taken to hospital.
