Fire crews called to suspected chemical leak in Norfolk town

Firefighters were called to deal with a suspected chemical leak in a Norfolk town earlier this morning.

A member of the public phoned the fire service to report smelling chemicals at a building site opposite the Waitrose superstore in Norwich Road shortly after 10am.

However, after an extensive investigation using gas and chemical detection equipment no chemicals were found and the fire crews returned to their station.
