The fire at the two-storey house in Yarmouth Road broke out at about 5.30pm yesterday and firefighters were there until about 8.45pm.

A Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said crews were alerted to the blaze by a neighbour and that nobody was thought to have been injured in the fire.

Fire crews from Harleston and Loddon attended the scene along with two fire crews from Suffolk.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used main and hose reel jets, a hydrant, a light portable pump and ladders to tackle the blaze.
