Two Norfolk sellers will make their debuts at the two-day EDP Wedding Show this weekend.
Bunting and Bits and Perfect Fit Puzzles will make their first appearances at the fifth EDP Wedding Show at the Norfolk Showground on Saturday and Sunday.
Last year the show, which will feature 150 exhibitors, saw 3,500 guests come through its doors.
In fact, Jane Hustler of Bunting and Bits and her now husband, Matt, were two of these guests looking for inspiration for their own wedding in August 2013.
She said: “Last year we went along to have a look as we didn’t have a clue what we wanted or what we didn’t want.
“You go to weddings and don’t take notice of what’s put together.
“I knew that I wanted a marquee and didn’t know how to dress it, so I made my own and that’s how Bunting and Bits came about.”
The company offers bunting for hire and sale and gift items including covered books, guest books and wedding favours.
Mrs Hustler describes the products as “keepsakes to take away” and “personalised”.
She continued: “I would like to develop products in conjunction with what people want, it’s two way. I know what we did and what we like but I want to learn from what others are wanting.”
Another exhibitor making a first appearance at the EDP Wedding Show is Perfect Fit Puzzles, which provides the bride and her groom with a unique way of capturing messages from guests.
Friends and family are encouraged to write messages on individual pieces of the puzzle, which come in a variety of shapes including clocks, butterflies and even motorbikes.
Owner Danielle Cann, from Lakenham, said that although the show was “daunting”, she is excited to be there.
She added: “There’s lots of work getting everything ready and together. I’ve still got a couple more puzzles to sand but largely I’m there.”
Ms Cann found the EDP show on Facebook: “I looked into different ways of advertising my little business and I came across the EDP page on Facebook.
“Because the show is local for me I thought it would be a good idea to look into it.”
She added: “I’ve had some really good feedback, which is lovely. I think because it’s a small business it’s really important as it boosts you up to keep going.”
Tickets are £8, two for £14 or four for £25. Parking is free and the show runs from 10am – 4 pm both days. Call 01603 772175 for tickets.
