Morning commuters have had their journeys disrupted today following rail delays caused by electrical supply problems in the Ely area.
The fault, which began delaying services from 6am this morning, meant that fewer trains were able to run between Ely and Cambridge.
As a result the 6.17am Greater Anglia King’s Lynn to London service, 7.22am Cambridge to Ely service, and the 8.33am London Liverpool Street to Cambridge service have been cancelled.
The problems have also caused delays for passengers travelling between Norwich and Cambridge.
Passengers on the Norwich-London mainline have also experienced delays of around 20 minutes this morning following signalling problems at Witham earlier this morning.
