An elderly man was taken to hospital in a “critical condition” after falling from his loft.

Paramedics were called to Colindeep Lane in Sprowston at 5.58pm on Sunday.

The emergency services sent an air ambulance, ambulance and rapid response vehicle.

The man, who was described as in his 80s, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital at 7.20pm.

  • 1 hour 22 minutes to convey to hospital, even if the medics were trying to get him stable to move him, That is very long and outside the ideal 'golden hour' for hospital treatment, my thoughts go out to the gentleman and his family.
