A Norfolk charity is now welcoming six applicants to run in the London Marathon to help raise funds.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) is seeking runners wishing to take part in the Virgin London Marathon and is inviting supporters to apply for next year’s event.
Applications are now open to all those who wish to take part in the 26.2 mile race - which takes place on next year on April 13 - on behalf of the charity, but places are limited.
Deputy fundraising co-ordinator, Catherine Sheppard, will be co-ordinating the charity’s entrants.
“We have six places available and we would love to give these places to people who have a strong desire to run on behalf of the EAAA and raise money to keep our life-saving service operating across the region, day and night,” she said.
“We’re looking for people who are passionate about the charity, perhaps someone who’s had a personal experience with EAAA or has an innovative outlook to fundraising.
“All we ask for in return is that runners who gain one of our places raise at least £2,000 for us.”
All applicants will need to agree to a set of terms and conditions when they apply and all will need to complete an application form stating why they wish to take part on behalf of the charity.
Completed forms must be received by October 28 and successful participants will be notified by November 4.
To apply for a place on behalf of the EAAA contact Catherine Sheppard via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 01473 745007 to request an application form.
