Businesses and others living in the region will be asked to pledge their support to a campaign to improve the rail line between Norwich and London.
At its latest meeting today the Norwich in Ninety taskforce agreed to launch a website so people will be able to tell them what the improvements would mean to them as part of the case to get Government cash towards the project.
MP Chloe Smith, who is chairing the working group, also said that the technical work was on schedule and it was expected a business case would be published in the Autumn.
She said: “We had a positive meeting of the task force and the technical detailed work is on schedule. We expect to be able to publicise the results in the form of a business case in the Autumn.
She added: “We really hope everybody will be able to get behind this and to that end we will be launching a way for people to join the campaign shortly, including a website and a way for businesses and others to express what Norwich in 90 will mean to them.
“We will ensure that all of that is heard loud and clear when we report back to teh Chancellor and the secretary of state for transport at the end of the project.”
