A man who burgled a home in Diss while the owners were away has admitted a string of other offences as he wants to make a fresh start, a court heard.
Colin Weeding, 24, stole jewellery and electrical items worth more than £2000 from a home in Diss, and was arrested after police found his fingerprint on a TV which was recovered, Norwich Crown Court heard.
Weeding then admitted other burglaries and thefts to police as he told them he wanted to wipe the slate clean.
Weeding, of Blomefield Road, Diss, admitted the burglary and asked for 13 other offences to be taken into consideration.
Juliet Donovan, for Weeding, said: “He wants to wipe the slate clean and wants to get everything out of the way. He does not want to spend his life in and out of prison. He is a young man who wants to change. He wants to turn his life around.”
Jailing him for 20 months, Judge Nicholas Coleman said he gave him credit for his guilty plea.
