There is disruption on the Norwich to London rail line this evening after a person was hit by a train at Kelvedon, between Witham and Marks Tey.
Train operator Greater Anglia has confirmed that the line has now reopened following the incident at about 5.30pm but said that there continues to be disruption to services.
Essex police and East of England Ambulance were called to the scene at about 5.30pm following the incident involving the 16.52 Ipswich to Liverpool Street service.
Greater Anglia suspended services on the line but advised that other train services into London were running normally and there were replacement buses running between Witham and Marks Tey.
