Friends Ed Masters and James Hood have organised walks and a cycle ride in aid of the charity for the last four years, raising more than £20,000. They decided to do something for the trust when Mr Masters’ son Jack, 16, was diagnosed with type-one diabetes aged 11.

The pair will be joined by friends and family at the weekend for a 62-mile trip, which will begin tomorrow, by walking the Boudicca Way from Diss to Norwich and on Sunday the Marriott’s Way from Norwich to Aylsham.

In past years, the group has walked the entire length of the Norfolk coastline. In their second year, members walked the length of the Suffolk coast and last year trekked along Weavers Way from Cromer to Great Yarmouth.

Mr Masters, who is also a trustee of the trust, has also cycled 630 miles to the south-west of France to raise funds.
