Speaking during a ‘Nick Clegg meets:’ session at Robinson College in Cambridge, the deputy prime minister told representatives of the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA): “You’re fantastic. Having the air ambulance available in this region is hugely valuable.”

He added that the charity does “a brilliant job” and spoke about how he would like to develop fundraising prospects for the charity.

Peter Rosenvinge, director of fundraising at the EAAA, said: “As we work towards attending missions at night as well as during the day, these words from Nick Clegg are very encouraging.

“It’s great to see that the work our highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics do at the scene of medical emergencies is being recognised at the highest level.”

  • We he would being as the Govt dont have to pay anything for it, money is raised by local people via the charity. Typical MP claiming glory for something that they don't support financially. Pathetic !
