Gorleston stood its fair share of attention during the Second World War and this month an audience will be transported back to this nostalgic time with the show, The Songs that Won the War.
The D-Day Darlings head to the town’s Pavilion Theatre on Saturday, April 19 in a show inspired by the patriotism, sharing of music and memories that kept Britain smiling through its darkest days.
The performance also shines the spotlight on the Royal British Legion (RBL), which continues to support war veterans, past and present.
The D-Day Darlings are committed to raising funds and awareness for the RBL.
Set in the heart of wartime Britain, the show tells a story of a vocal harmony trio seeking to get their big break.
It includes an array of memorable songs, from artists such as Gracie Fields, The Andrews Sisters and Vera Lynn.
The D-Day Darlings perform at 7.30pm and tickets cost £15 adults or £5 children (15 and under). Book online at www.gorlestonpavilion.co.uk or call the box office on 01493 662832.
