A cyclist who suffered a serious head injury after a crash in Norwich is not in a life threatening condition.

Emergency services were called to the Fiveways roundabout on Earlham Road at 6am this morning after reports of a crash between a Transit van and a bike.

Norfolk police described the incident, near the Tesco garage, as “serious” and said the cyclist went to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment.

The road was shut but has now reopened.
