A WOMAN was left shocked after being slapped round the head by a pedalling pest.

The young victim was walking in an alleyway off Garfield Road, Great Yarmouth when a man cycled past her and slapped the back off her head. He also shouted at her before pedalling off “at speed”.

The woman stumbled and was left shocked, but was not hurt in the incident.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened between 1.05pm and 1.25pm on Friday (November 15).

The cyclist is described as white, more than 25 years old, of medium build and was wearing a large black or blue jacket with its hood up and light blue jeans.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or saw the cyclist is urged to call PC Gary May at South Yarmouth Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
