A man and woman arrested in connection with an incident which happened at Tesco on the outskirts of Norwich yesterday have appeared in court.

Justin Hunt, 36, of Westwick Street, and Carmen Dye, 45, of Bull Close Road, both in Norwich, appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court this afternoon after being arrested and charged with affray following an incident at Tesco on the outskirts of Norwich.

They were also charged with theft, accused of stealing food and drink worth £291 from Tesco.

Hunt also faced a further count of theft in relation to an incident at Sainsbury's in Norwich on 4 June where he is accused of stealing food and cleaning products worth £100.

Dye also faced a further charge in relation to the theft of a Samsung mobile phone in Norwich on 25 June.

Both Dye and Hunt appeared before magistrates this afternoon where the case was formally sent to Norwich Crown Court.

No pleas were entered and they were both remanded in custody until the next hearing.

A third man arrested in connection with the incident at Tesco has been released on bail until 18 July while enquiries continue.
