Three boys have been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty after two bantam chickens were killed in a Norwich park.

Police were called to Eaton Park at about 7am this morning (April 16) following reports of chickens being attacked.

Enquiries by officers resulted in three boys, one age 12 and two 15, being arrested in Rugge Drive and taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

It is thought the chickens may have been stolen from a nearby property.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident of has information concerning it.
