A judge has ruled that a man who risked people’s lives after he petrol bombed a Norwich nightspot and city pub in a series of planned arson attacks is to be deported when he is well enough
Grzegorz Kowalski, 40, was given a hospital order earlier this month after he admitted arson with intent to endanger life at karma Kafe and the Wildman pub on November 10 last year.
Kowalski, who is being kept at the Norvic clinic in Norwich but has a Polish passport and had been in the UK for three and a half years, also admitted an arson at the Norfolk Recovery Partnership offices (TADS) in Unthank Road, which is the treatment and recovery service for people in Norfolk affected by drug and alcohol issues.
He appeared at Norwich Crown Court today and told by Judge Nicholas Coleman he would be deported. He said: “When you’re fit to be released you will be deported.”
