A 39-year-old woman collapsed in the street after suffering a heart attack and died the following day, an inquest heard.

Sarah Knight, from Victoria Street, Mundesley, was pronounced dead at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on April 20.

Today’s Norwich inquest heard from Norfolk coroner William Armstrong that the married woman apparently collapsed in the street in the area of Market Street, North Walsham.

Paramedics were called and she was conveyed to hospital where a CT scan revealed a large subarachnoid haemorrhage. Despite treatment she died a few hours after being admitted.

The cause of death was given as a cardiac arrest due to a large subarachnoid haemorrhage.

The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
