A 27 year-old man has gone on trial for the attempted murder of a man he attacked in Great Yarmouth.
Clive Malone, of Paget Road, Great Yarmouth, has denied the attempted murder of Russell Lambert, on February 1 this year, and a jury was sworn in at Norwich Crown Court.
However at the start of his trial, Malone entered pleas to other charges he faced, including an alternative charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Mr Lambert and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to another man, Patrick Lambert, who is known as Tommy.
He also admitted a charge of aggravated burglary on the same date, at an address in Albion Road.
The trial will still go ahead on the attempted murder charge Malone faces, although Judge Stephen Holt told the jury that the issues had been “narrowed down considerably.”
The trial continues.
