A jury has been sent home for the weekend in the trial of a man charged with carrying out an armed robbery on a rural Norfolk post office.
The Norwich Crown Court jury went out for about two and half hours before being sent home and is due to return on Tuesday when it will continue with its deliberations. Kevin Tunmore, 36, of Low Common, Ashby St Mary, has denied robbing Surlingham Post Office on February 2, 2017. in which a quantity of cash as well as postal orders were stolen.
Tunmore also denies being in possession of an imitation firearm, at the time of the robbery.
The prosecution allege that Tunmore was one of two men who went into the village store and held up the 75-year-old postmistress demanding that she hand over cash from the till.
Tunmore has denied any involvement in the robbery.
