Delays expected as abnormal loads travel through Norfolk and Suffolk

Police are warning motorists about a series of abnormal loads that will be travelling through Norfolk and Suffolk next week.

On Monday a boat measuring 5.2m wide, 5m high and 22m long, weighing 52 tonnes, will be escorted by Suffolk Police from Colchester to Wroxham from 9.30am.

The convoy will follow the A12 from the Essex border, A14, A11, A140, A1042 and A1151 to the site.

Then on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday three crane bases, measuring 5.8m wide, will be escorted from Seatrax in Southtown Road, Great Yarmouth, to Felixstowe Dock.

A base will be taken each day, leaving Great Yarmouth at 10am travelling on the A12, A47, A11, A1304, A14, A142, A14, and local roads to the site.

Delays are expected.
