A drugs courier sentenced to two years in jail has gone missing, a court has heard.

Norwich Crown Court was unable to agree on an order or direction to give Jowayne Bonnie, 27, as probation officers were unable to find him.

The father-of-two was driving towards the city at the Thickthorn roundabout on October 26, 2017, when police stopped him and performed a drug wipe.

In March of this year Judge Anthony Bate jailed Bonnie for two years for possession of cocaine with intent to supply. He was given no separate penalty for driving without insurance, and one month each for two counts of possession of cannabis, to run concurrently.

On Tuesday, September 25, Oliver Haswell, prosecuting, said: 'We cannot progress without the defendant, who is yet to be located.'

Judge Bate asked probation to find him within six weeks.

Defence Danielle O'Donovan said there was a prospect of finding Bonnie.
