A community planting day will be held in Attleborough next week.
Attleborough Town Council will be staging the event on Gaymers Meadow on Saturday, December 8 at 10.30am.
At least 20 saplings will be planted and 14 apple trees have been provided by Busseys along with other trees that have been provided with the financial support of local businesses.
It comes after several mature trees in Attleborough were felled earlier this year after they were found to be dead or dying following a survey.
Attleborough mayor Samantha Taylor said: “The support of this scheme so far has been wonderful, now it would be great to get as many of the local children as possible to help with the planting. If you have your own spade it would be a great help if you could please bring it with you.”
The mayor will provide hot chocolate for everyone attending.
